About this strategy
Holds the S&P 500 ETF and moves to a 3x S&P 500 fund on days New York's weather is normal for the time of year, read from Kalshi's NYC temperature market. Unusually warm or cold days hold plain SPY.
How it works
- Agent triggers
Runs daily at 09:35 ET, reading Kalshi's market for New York City's high temperature. It operates only on scheduled checks, avoiding sessions with insufficient data.
- Computes its signals
It reads the temperature forecasts from Kalshi and compares them to the seasonal normal high. It switches to a 3x leveraged fund only when the forecast is within five degrees of normal.
- Sets the target portfolio
The target portfolio is either fully in a 3x leveraged S&P 500 fund or fully in the S&P 500 ETF. It trades around 90 times a year, swapping positions based on weather signals.
- Executes orders
Your account trades toward the target, selling the current position before buying the new one, while adhering to the platform's risk controls: stop-loss and daily loss limits you specify.
